Suspension.
Optimal on all roads, perfect for all riding styles.
For decades now, one of the key competences of BMW Motorrad has been to use innovative developments to make motorcycles better and safer while at the same time increasing the joy of biking. As one of the leaders in this technology, BMW Motorrad comes up with new solutions at a very fast rate which, before long, often become essential features of standard motorcycle design. As early as 1986 BMW Motorrad set a benchmark in suspension engineering with the launch of the Paralever rear wheel swing arm, which ensured better rear suspension and power transmission. 1993 saw the first series production front suspension, which separated the tasks of suspension and damping from those of wheel alignment. This was known as the Telelever. The extremely torsion-resistant Duolever front suspension, which was launched in 2005, constituted a further revolutionary step in suspension engineering. BMW Motorrad frame geometries are consistently designed with riding activity and ergonomics in mind, depending on the model type. BMW Motorrad's technical understanding makes them optimal on all roads or terrain and perfect for all riding styles.
