Nordic SBK Team
SBK Team Road racing ace Fredrik Eriksson and BMW Motorrad are collaborating for its upcoming Superbike season and with a dedicated team, the site is set at the top.
We are investing all of our resources and It will be a high bar, both outwardly, but also within the team. BMW Motorrad has had great success in international superbike racing for many years. So, it feels extra exciting that we can now take this further.
It's a serious venture - a business that is carefully built from the ground up
Fredrik Eriksson
The Nordic SBK Team
After several successful seasons at the highest level in Swedish Superbike racing, now it's time for Eriksson to form the new team together with BMW Motorrad Nordic.
Fredrik Eriksson, from Västerås and Jimmy Gällros, from Huddinge will lead the team's race-ready BMW S 1000 RR.
With Eriksson as team owner and Per Almér as team manager - alongside a team of experienced mechanics and staff - they will, together with BMW Motorrad, engage wholeheartedly in order to create a Swedish Superbike team beyond the ordinary.
Eriksson, who won the season final in the Superbike-SM 2020 in a rainy Anderstorp, looks positive into the coming season, where the Superbike-SM will also partly be run together with the car racing series STCC.
I am very much looking forward to the sequel. BMW Motorrad is wholly engaged in the venture, and I think this is the beginning of something that will be fantastic. We will work hard, and together with BMW Motorrad this will come to a solid win
»Fredrik Eriksson
In early 2021, the plan is to head to southern Spain for some track-racing and training camps with the team's new BMW racers. In addition, one will run part motocross, and hopefully some charging on ice.
But, before that comes the motorcycles! The bikes which already offer great performance from the factory are getting some new components and will be optimized for race-winning abilities.

Fredrik Eriksson
Fredrik Eriksson was born 1991 in Västerås, Sweden. At the age of just 5-years old, he developed the love of motorcycles inherited from his father. In 2014, Eriksson switched to tarmac and tested road-racing for the first time and hasn't stopped since.
He has ridden in The Swedish Superbike National Series since 2018 and has shown one of the steepest development curves in the starting field.
With victories in both Swedish Superbike, The Spanish Andalucía Superbike Championship and many pole positions, he has shown that the drive and talent is there to win the Superbike title in 2021.
Fredrik is very excited about his new project with the BMW Motorrad Nordic SBK team and believes that they will have the strongest team in the starting field.
"It really feels like a dream coming true to ride for BMW", he states.
Jimmy Gällros
Jimmy Gällros
Jimmy Gällros is a road racing driver from Haninge, Sweden and the son of the World Championship driver Billy Gällros.
"After 2 seasons in the Royal Class Superbike, I am now really geared up for the season 2021 with the BMW Motorrad Nordic SBK team.
I think that together, the team and I will have excellent results, and I am aiming for the Swedish Championship Gold!" He tells us exclusively.
"I started my road racing career in 2014 as a rookie 600 on a national level with pole position in my first race. Since then I have competed in both national and international championships, scoring in both British and German championships."
Gällros has also competed an entire season in the Dutch championship with several podium places and victories, finishing 3rd in the total in 2016.
The BMW S 1000 RR is a machine built for racing. We are convinced that the team with Eriksson and Gällros at the helm will offer a lot of entertainment and success in the coming season
